Non frum Jews go to Shul at most 3 times a year, twice on Rosh Hashanah and for Yom Kippur. How sad that the only 3 days they go to Shul are the longest and most somber of the year...that is a way to get closer to Judaism? Chassidus teaches that the meaning of the maamar chazal "lo golu yisroel elo lhoisif aleihem geirim" (Israel was exiled solely to add geirim) refers to the sparks of kedusha that we elevate in every place we are exiled to. This does include the languages, names etc. that we have acquired and appropriated for kedusha.
